Show up. That's most of it.

Our events are where the mission gets loud — fundraisers, community meetups, and the moments that turn donors into a community.

The Life's A Trip Softball Showdown

Ryan Nugent presenting a cheque to Lisa from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada

Ryan presents a cumulative $25,000 to Lisa of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, representing three years of Softball Showdown fundraising (2024–2026).

On June 20, 2026, 10 teams came together for a full day of softball, competition, prizes, food, and community. This year's tournament alone raised more than $10,000 for Life's A Trip — a 50% increase over the previous year. Combined with the two prior years, the Softball Showdown has now raised a cumulative $25,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada — donated in full and logged publicly on our Life's A Trip Light The Night Ottawa team page.

Our First-Ever Fundraiser

Life of the Party.

In November 2019, roughly three months after Trip's passing, about 300 people gathered for Life of the Party — a celebration of what would have been his 22nd birthday. It was part party, part fundraiser, and completely true to the person being honoured, raising more than $12,000 and setting a principle that still guides the foundation today.
