What we collect

When you use the Contact or Get Involved forms on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send us — plus, on the Get Involved form, what you'd like to help with.

If you donate through the Donate page, you're taken to Zeffy, our independent donation processor. Zeffy collects your contact and donation details directly to process your gift. Payment-card details are handled by Zeffy's payment processor, Stripe — Zeffy does not store card information itself, and neither this website nor Life's A Trip Foundation ever sees or stores it.

This site also uses privacy-focused analytics, described further down, that do not include your name, email address, or form message.

How we use it

We use the information you send us for the purpose you sent it for, related follow-up, necessary administration and recordkeeping (including donation records and bookkeeping), and any legal obligations that apply to us. We don't use it for unrelated marketing.

Who sees it

Your form submissions pass through Formspree, which delivers them to the foundation's email account, where they may be retained as part of the resulting correspondence. Donations pass through Zeffy. Both act on our behalf to handle your submission. Formspree and Zeffy may also use their own service providers in the course of providing that service, and we may need to disclose information where the law requires it. We don't sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing. You can read Formspree's privacy policy and Zeffy's privacy policy directly.

How long we keep it

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the inquiry, legal obligations, and legitimate recordkeeping. We don't build an ongoing mailing list from form submissions alone.

Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information

You can ask to access, correct, or delete the information you've sent us — email lifesatripfdn@gmail.com. We'll respond to your request and delete information we no longer need to retain for legal, administrative, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us and limit access to it to what's needed to respond to you.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami — privacy-focused analytics that do not include your name, email address, or form message. They help us see overall traffic and which pages and links people use — including buttons like our Zeffy donation link and our Light The Night team page — so we know what's helping the mission. Neither tool uses cookies to track you across other websites, and neither sells data or shares it with advertisers.

Other third-party requests

This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google-hosted domain when you visit. We don't control what Google does with that request beyond serving the font files.

Our status

Life's A Trip Foundation is a federally registered non-profit corporation and is not currently a registered charity. Official donation receipts are not available at this time.
